Colin Crosby

Chair of Audit Scotland Board

Colin has extensive chair, board and leadership experience across the public, private and third sectors.

A lawyer and qualified accountant, Colin worked for most of his professional career with Aberdeen Asset Management latterly as CEO of a regulated subsidiary company prior to its disposal in 2006. Since 2008 Colin has worked in non-executive roles in a variety of sectors.

Colin has been an independent Board Member of Audit Scotland since 2020. Currently he also chairs the Audit Committee of the Royal Highland Agricultural Society of Scotland and is a trustee of the Scottish Ballet endowment fund. He is a recent past council member of ICAS.

Colin was awarded an OBE for services to social housing.

Jo Armstrong

Chair of the Accounts Commission

Jo is an internationally recognised economist and finance expert having worked in the public, private and third sectors across the UK. With periods in the oil, gas and banking sectors, she was also a senior civil servant in the Scottish Government. Jo acted as a budget adviser to Parliamentary Committees of the Scottish Parliament, including the Local Government Committee.

She has extensive knowledge of economic regulation, is a member of the RSE’s Economy and Enterprise Committee and is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

Jo currently chairs the Wheatley Group and Hub West Scotland, giving her a clear understanding of Scotland’s financial, housing, infrastructure, and care challenges.

Jackie Mann

Independent, non-executive director of the Audit Scotland Board

Jackie has more than 30 years’ experience in human resources in the UK and overseas. She has been a board member for Developing the Young Workforce, served on the Children’s Panel for Scotland and is a Justice of the Peace.
