New Executive Director of Innovation and Quality appointed
Kenneth Oliver has been appointed Executive Director of Innovation and Quality at Audit Scotland, leading the organisation’s internal assurance, improvement and development.
Kenneth has significant experience in quality improvement across both the public and corporate audit sectors and has previously been the Director of Regulatory Monitoring and Authorisations at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Kenneth said:
High quality public audit provides the bedrock for Audit Scotland to give assurance and drive improvement in public services. I’m excited about the opportunity to lead Audit Scotland’s approach to quality assurance and improvement, and to continue the innovation that is already taking place.
This is an exciting time in the wider audit profession as we strive to make the most of the professional and technological developments taking place, and ensure we continue to deliver robust and independent public audit on behalf of the people of Scotland.

Kenneth will join Audit Scotland in June. This is a new role created to focus on quality and improvement as part of a strengthened leadership team at Audit Scotland.
