We're looking for new members
We’re about helping to change local public services in Scotland for the better, improving the lives of millions of people.
If you share this vision and ambition then we’d like to hear from you. We’re looking for four new members. Be part of the transformation and scrutiny of Scotland’s local public services, helping improve and influence how councils and other public bodies deliver services and address the challenges facing them.
We’d like to hear from people who:
- Are enthusiastic about improving public services in Scotland
- Can make good judgements
Members of the Accounts Commission come from a wide range of backgrounds, bringing different skills and experience. What you need are these two key qualities.
And you will be committing just a two and a half days each month, meaning it will fit around your other responsibilities, whether you’re a carer, working or have other interests.
Find out more about our work and how to apply. And you’re more than welcome to come along to our next meeting on 8 February to see the Accounts Commission in action. We are also holding three ‘Commission uncovered’ events – in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness - to help tell people more about our work and what we do.
