Performance audits
Audit Scotland carries out around 14 performance audit reports each year on behalf of the Auditor General and the Accounts Commission.
We do our very best to ensure our performance audit reports are accurate and relevant, and we check with the bodies we have audited to make sure the facts are correct before we publish our reports.
Advisory groups
Advisory groups are established for most performance audits, with members coming from outside Audit Scotland. These groups typically have between six and ten members with specialist knowledge of the area that we are auditing.
