Publication: The National Fraud Initiative in Scotland 2012/13
The National Fraud Initiative (NFI) is a counter-fraud exercise that is run every two years. The NFI matches electronic data within and between participating bodies to prevent and detect fraud.
In the 2012/13 report, fraud and errors worth £16 million were identified by us and more than 120 Scottish public bodies.
