Publication: Amended Direction 2001 and 2002 - Local Government Act 1992

In accordance with the requirements of the Local Government in Scotland Act 2003, the Accounts Commission for Scotland has recently amended its 2001 and 2002 directions specifying the performance information to be collected and published by authorities for the financial years ending 31st March 2003 and 31 March 2004 respectively. The amendments allow councils to publish the required information in a variety of ways and remove the duty on each council to place an advertisement, giving all the information, in a newspaper circulating in its area.
