Publication: Maintaining Scotland's roads: a follow-up report

Road conditions worsened between 2004 and 2010. The Scottish Government should now consider a national review of how the road network is managed and maintained. Key routes should be prioritised for maintenance, services may need to be redesigned and there may be room for more flexibility in how staff and machinery are deployed.
