Publication: North Ayrshire Council: The Audit of Best Value and Community Planning 2005

The Accounts Commission's first Best Value audit report on North Ayrshire Council says that the council has laid firm foundations for Best Value and Community Planning, engages well with its community and there is a general trend of service improvement. However it needs to add impetus to the change process, be more flexible and creative in the way it uses existing funds to respond to the needs of the local community, and to provide more comprehensive performance information about how individual services are doing.
