Publication: Performance Information for Scottish Councils 1995/96

Each year councils publish a range of information to show people how well they are providing their services in comparison with previous years and how they compare with other councils. The Accounts Commission then summarises the information in a national report.

The main report sets out performance information for 13 major services for the Scottish former regional, district and islands councils in 1995/96. This was the last year of these councils prior to local government reorganisation in April 1996.

Where appropriate, the report also makes comparison with the performance information for 1994/95 and 1993/94.
